Student organization consist of university student organizations and student organizations at the  faculty level.

A. University student organization consists of:

  1. Student Assembly (MPM)
  2. Student Executive Board (BEM)
  3. Student Activity Unit (UKM)

B.  Faculty level Student Organization consists of:

  1. Student Representative Council (DPM)
  2. Faculty Student Executive Board (BEMF)
  3. Studies Student Association (HMPS)

 

Student Assembly (MPM)

MPM is the highest institution of student organization that serves as a forum for student representatives at the university level, to accommodate and channel the aspirations of students at the university.

Student Executive Board (BEM)

BEM serves as the implementing organization of student development activities at the university level, especially with regard to the development of reasoning and knowledge, attitude development leadership and management skills, as well as the development of community services, in addition to as the coordinator of student development activities within the university

Student Activity Unit (UKM)

UKM serve as a vehicle for development tools and extra-curricular activities at university level, particularly with regard to the development of interests, talents and passions of students and student’s welfare.

Student Representative Council (DPM)

DPM serves as a forum for student representatives at the faculty level, to accommodate aspirations of students in the Faculty.

Faculty Student Executive Board (BEMF)

BEMF serves as the implementing organization of student development activities at the faculty level, especially with regard to development and scientific reasoning, the development of the attitude of leadership and management skills, as well as the development of community services, and coordinator of student development activities within the faculty. BEMF has the main task: carrying out the provisions of MPM and DPM; plan and carry out extra-curricular activities of student development at the faculty level corresponding lines of the program established DPM; coordinate extra-curricular activities of student development is carried out by HMPS.

In performing its duties, BEMF coordinates and consults to the Vice Dean.

Chairman of the BEMF is established and is elected directly by the student through general elections held by the DPM, and in accordance with the provisions of MPM.

Studies Student Association (HMPS)

HMPS serves as the implementing organization of student development activities in the course of study, relating to the development of reasoning and scientific, and professional manner in accordance with the field of science and studies programs. HMPS has the main task: carrying out the provisions of MPM and DPM; plan and carry out extra-curricular activities at the level of student development courses related to the development of reasoning and appropriate scientific and professional attitude and science courses, as well as the corresponding lines of the program DPM determined; to coordinate activities with BEMF and BEM.

In performing its duties, HMPS coordinates and consults to the Chairman of the Program.

Chairman of the HMPS established and is elected directly by the student through the General Election held by DPM

Financing

Financing the development of student and organizational needs obtained from the student’s tuition fee. Management and responsibility of the use of cost as mentioned above accounted for in accordance with applicable regulations.

Student Welfare Services

Student welfare services in an effort to support the smooth operation of education, the University implemented in the form:

a. Guidance and Counseling

Guidance and counseling is to help the student welfare services in addressing the problems faced by, among others, include the business

  1. Helping students to be able to adjust to college life, so that students can achieve optimal academic achievement
  2. Helping students to be able to solve personal problems it faces, in order to support student study smooth.
  3. Assist students in selecting appropriate areas of expertise to her interests and abilities.

Guidance and counseling services can be done at the request of the students concerned, Academic Advisor, Faculty of Trustees Student Affairs and the BEM.

b. Health Services

Health services for students, carried out in the form of the provision of clinic facilities, which dealt with an experienced physician. In addition to medical examination on certain matters clinic can also provide relief medication as needed. Letter from the doctor on duty pain can be used to benefit students in UMBY environment.

c. Scholarship

Scholarships are awarded through a partnership UMBY with government and private agencies organizing scholarships to students who meet the following requirements:

  1. High academic achievers, in accordance with applicable regulations
  2. Active in student development
  3. Poor economic families, by attaching a statement of income parents / guardians are approved by the competent authority
  4. Receiving no other scholarships
  5. Meet other requirements specified by the organizers of UMB scholarships and Yogyakarta.
